Minor downtime of registration pages due to host issues
Apologies for the 30 minutes of yo-yo today. Our host again had issues that were outside of our control. All systems are now stable and running well.

Downtime with registration pages
Leading up to 8:15PM (GMT +10) our host discovered some issues in their database clusters. This lead to connections from Attendly and other customers not being dropped from the database when they should be. At its peak, connections from Attendly were 8x the normal range. This caused our host to suspend the database (block it). At this point the Attendly platform responded with timeout errors (connections to the database were timing out). Registration pages and the admin portal showed gateway timeout errors to any user who tried to access them. After discovering that the issue lay at the database level, we contacted our host and they confirmed the database had a block on it. They were able to remove the block, but once it was removed the issue began to occur again. We had to stop all Attendly services until the database had normalised, before gradually adding services back. We apologise for the downtime and are working hard to make sure that this does not happen again.

Scheduled maintenance
There was a brief period of downtime today as we migrated our databases. The migration was successful and everything is now working fine.

Issues with connecting to registration pages
About 30 minutes ago we started having connection issues with one of our servers. This was resulting in some requests not getting through. We removed this server from our load balancer. About 10 minutes ago the load balancer started having issues. Everything is now working fine and we are watching everything closely. We have contacted our hosting partner to find out why this happened.

Database server restart
Our cloud provider had to perform an emergency maintenance to their databases infrastructure. This caused 5 minutes of downtime as they restarted the databases.

Intermittent connection issues for registration pages (database migration)
There was a couple of minutes of intermittent connection issues for the registration pages as we updated the database. Everything is fine now

Test
On New Years Eve the Attendly registration pages were offline for an extended period of time. Anyone who tried to register received a timeout error and was unable to proceed. The issue was resolved by patching the area of concern and massively upgrading the monitoring system to ensure there is no repeat. This issue has been closed.
